Melbourne – Nepal Cricket team’s participation have been confirmed in the upcoming ACC Emerging Teams Cup 2017 to be held from March 25-April 3 in Bangladesh.
Nepal will travel to Bangladesh to play in the eight-nations tournament after the completion of their ICC World Cricket League Championship matches against Kenya in March 11 and 13 in Kathmandu.
“Nepal were scheduled to take part in the tournament and all of a sudden we were removed from the event. After inquiring the ACC, I have received a confirmation from the organisers,” Bhawana Ghimire, who has been looking after the logistics of Nepal team told to the Himalayan Times.
Nepal along with Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Malaysia will take part in the tournament. Meanwhile, U-23 team will represent the test nations – India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The tournament is organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
